Zimbabwe Casinos Ready For 2010 World Cup Bonanza
Lotteries and Gaming has become a thriving industry with new stakeholders who are willing to venture into the business and inquiring ahead of the 2010 World Cup soccer showcase to be hosted by South Africa.

The introduction of the multiple currency system has re-ignited interest in the industry and it is believed this will substantially contribute towards the growth of the industry.
Co-Home Affairs Minister Cde Kembo Mohadi said casino operators should establish charity casino venues for the sake of disadvantaged members of society as we approach next year’s world cup.
“We must now move on to 2010 that is looming as a momentous opportunity for the lotteries and gaming industry to hit the climax in turnovers. It is through diligent preparations that are obviously absolutely essential that we can serve global consumers with excellence,” said Cde Mohadi.
Lotteries and Gaming Board Chief Executive Officer Mr. Heavens Gonga said currently, the industry is viable and new stakeholders are expected.
He said: “The industry is performing very well with a number of enquiries from prospective stakeholders which translates into huge investment in for the country.”
The Lotteries and Gaming industry had its annual stakeholders convention where they discussed several issues that are affecting the industry and issues regarding prospective investors.
